Key Dates: Socials and Strength & Conditioning

We have a number of key dates for your diary, including some brilliant social events and the strength and conditioning sessions run by our club PT Lizzie Jones. Thanks to our club night coordinator, social secretary and charities coordinator we are able to provide you with the following dates – these are subject to change so please check back regularly. In addition to our standard club nights and races, we hope to see lots of members at these events. 2024 updates coming soon.

Strength and conditioning

As a club we are very lucky to have access to our own PT. Lizzie lead outdoor fortnightly Wednesday evening sessions (may be adjusted around holiday dates). These are funded by the club for your benefit, so come along and join us!
Strength training is very beneficial for runners. Having stronger muscles in your legs allows you to deliver more power when running, plus strengthening connective tissues (ligaments and tendons) can make you less prone to injury. Lizzie adapts the sessions to suit events our members may be running in and can tailor exercises for those with injuries etc.

Please get these dates in your diary and come to as many sessions as possible. Without your support and attendance these sessions may not continue, so use it or lose it!
