Leicester Marathon
Well it certainly was a ‘Super Sunday’ for Wreake with 29x Wreake’s taking part in this year’s Leicester Half Marathon. With the sun shining there were PB’s being achieved from almost everyone. Handicap Run 2015
The club held this year’s annual Handicap race in October. With staggered start times, everyone should finish at the same time! We had a great turn out with 28 runners, congratulations to the 1st place male Andrew Peel and 1st female Jane Collingham.
LRRL Awards Night
LRRL Awards Last night saw the yearly awards ceremony for the Summer League races. Myself, Helen, Dave, Jim, Julie, Anne and surprise attendance by Bruno descended upon the Awards night at Leicestershire County Cricket Club. The ‘Wales Trail Marathon’ was this years challenge for some of the Wreake Runners, 19x runners took to the trails of Coed y Brenin forest in the Snowdonia National Park. Weekend of Running
It’s been a great weekend for Marathons/Half Marathons & 10k’s! Three of Wreakes finest travelled to Manchester to take on the 26.2 mile course which went through Altrincham, Sale & Urmston along with nearly 8,000 runners.
