The medals, the t-shirts, the pride! Wreake Runners have had a busy spring, taking on the 26.2 miles of several marathons both across the country and across the world! From Tokyo, to Manchester, London, Chester and Leeds we are really proud of all our marathoners achievements.
We also had many more take on different half marathons and you can read about their individual experiences in the Race Report section. To celebrate our members achievements, we invited everyone along to take a few photos to remember and celebrate together. Whether they were first timers or old hands at these longer distances every Wreakie did amazingly well, and we are so proud of all of them!
The many miles of training are never easy but the support and encouragement of the club helped to ensure personal goals and targets were not just achieved, but smashed in many cases.
Many of our runners were raising money for charity as well, including The Brain Tumour Charity, Great Ormond St, LOROS and MND/Leeds hospitals charities, our Wreake warriors have helped to raise thousands of pounds for some fantastic causes. Well done everyone.
